Greg Tassell is in great demand in the UK and abroad for oratorio and recital appearances. He is particularly sought after for Bach, Purcell, Handel, Mozart, Britten, and Haydn oratorios; he has recently sung Haydn The Creation for The Downland Chorale, HandelAcis & Galatea for Winchfield Festival, OrffCarmina Burana for Derby Choral Union, Britten The Company of Heaven for St Albans Choral Soc, return to the London Handel Festival with Handel Israel in Eygpt under Adrian Butterfield, Puccini Messa Di Gloria at Canterbury Cathedral, Bach Christmas Oratorio for London Early Opera, Bach St John Passion (evangelist) in Sevenoaks and The Griffin & The Grail with actress Olivia Colman and RSVP Voices at Cadogan Hall. His future bookings include Bach St Matthew Passion in Tunbridge Wells, Handel Judas Maccabeus in Watford, BrittenSt Nicholas in Slough and Handel Messiah in Cirencester.

In orchestral recital, Greg’s appearances include the 2009 and 2012 London Handel Festivals with London Early Opera under Bridget Cunningham and further afield Britten Les illuminations for Suffolk Philharmonia under Leslie Olive,Finzi Dies Natalis in Tunbridge Wells, and BrittenSerenade for Tenor, Horn & Strings at the Purcell Room with the Isis Ensemble and at the Roman River Festival under Orlando Jopling. He appeared in 2014 Stoke Newington Early Music Festival performing Monteverdi duets with tenor Nathan Vale.  

Recent recital engagements included Schumann Dichterliebe and Sullivan The Window at the Finchcocks Festival and Hertford Music Club with pianist Gary Branch, and with guitarist Chris Bundhun a UK tour of Britten’s Songs from the Chinese with guitarist Christopher Bundhun at various locations including The National Portrait Gallery and Charlton House.

Greg has recently released his début album of English Songs by Dibdin, Stanford and Elgar at Finchcocks Piano Museum. He featured on London Early Opera’s forthcoming Handel CD collection on 'Handel at Vauxhall' directed by Bridget Cunningham, released late 2015 to critical acclaim.
